Do I need an appointment to get a piercing done?

We are happy to accept walk in clients Monday – Sunday from 1pm till 7:30pm on a first come first serve basis. We do recommend reserving a day and time here so you know we have the time set aside for you. If you come as a walk in we will do our best to get you in but cannot guarantee you will be seen without an appointment.

How old do I have to be to get a piercing done?

You need to be at least 18 years of age to consent for yourself to any piercing. We can pierce minors ages 8 to 17, no services are offered to any person under the age of 8. From 8 to 14 years of age we only perform services on the ear lobe. From 14 to 17 years of age we are performing navel, eyebrow, nostril and any ear services except for industrials. Minors must be accompanied by 1 parent or guardian. All minors are required to have valid photo ID. All parent/guardians are required to have valid photo ID. The birth certificate of the minor must be presented with the parent’s name on it. If a guardian is consenting the court papers appointing them as guardian must be provided. Failure to provide proper documentation will result in us not being able to perform the services
I have sensitive skin, what do you have for that?

All of the jewelry we work with here at Studio 28 is made from American Standard implant grade titanium and steel and our gold is made from 18k or 14k solid gold, not plated or dipped. That all means the jewelry is of the highest quality and safest materials for your body.
How much does a piercing cost?

We have a piercing fee of $41.20 per piercing not including jewelry. Our piercing jewelry prices start at $36.05 and will vary depending on material, stones, and jewelry style. We also have a large selection of pieces that you can choose from to be pierced with when here. All of our jewelry is made from solid nickel free gold, implant grade titanium, and implant grade steel.

How are your piercings performed?

For all of our piercings, we use single use sterilized needles only with all sterilized tools and working surfaces. Each procedure will have the materials opened in front of you so you can see and inspect packaging if you wish.
How long do I have to wait before swimming?

We recommend a minimum of 6 weeks from getting the piercing done before any type of swimming or submersion of the piercing.
Can I be pierced with a ring instead of a stud?

We do initial piercings on daiths and septums with rings. Eyebrows, navels, and rooks are pierced with curved barbells. All other piercings will be performed with studs as rings can be very problematic to heal. You can always change to a ring after the piercing has healed.
What should I do before I come in to get a piercing done?

Before coming in we recommend having something to eat to help avoid getting lightheaded or passing out. We also recommend wearing something comfortable and appropriate for what you are looking to get pierced.
Can I have anyone with me in the studio?

Yes, we are able to have one person with the client at their appointment and please limit it to one person. If other friends or family are with you, we will have to ask them to wait outside of the building for you to finish. If the client is a minor only the consenting parent is allowed to accompany them into the studio. Please see “How old do I have to be to get a piercing done” for age requirements and documentation.
Will there be charges on future visits for checkups and downsizes?

Yes, we have service fees plus the cost of jewelry for checkups and downsizes.
